I stopped buying physical Christmas presents a while ago. Since I am always travelling with cabin baggage only, it doesn't make sense bringing things to and receiving things from my friends and family back home in Lithuania.

Instead, I am giving away and asking for experience and time spent together. Thus, a ticket to Sónar Reykjavík ended being a present to me from my parents last December. It was a little cheeky but smart decision of mine asking for this - I finally had a materialised reason to go to the place I have wanted to go for so long but never did. The minute I got the festival ticket, I booked a 12 day trip to Iceland itself.

I started packing my film rolls neatly and dusting my precious Zenit. Little I knew then that the two film rolls I actually managed to finish whilst in Iceland will become my most favourite ones of all the film rolls I've done in nearly 8 years of my amateur analogue photography 'career'.

Enjoy the colours below. I'm afraid, though, the pictures do not and cannot ever express how magic and exceptional Iceland is, how the wind inspires your mind and the crystal water clears your fears, doubts and insecurities. And how the ever changing landscapes force you whisper 'wow' to yourself uncontrollably.
